- Horizon Line and Vanishing Points – 2 and 3 point perspective
- Create a measured Grid Cube (interior design aide)
- Laying out a room or kitchen in perspective (calculated foreshortening)
- Light placement and projected shadows
- Building an object with shadowing
The
following materials are available at local stores and
you may already have equivalent materials. The
prices listed are from Hobby Lobby. All materials are
also available online at stores like www.utrechtart.com
and www.dickblick.com and www.cheapjoes.com at student
prices. This is a minimum list of materials required for
the workshop. You are welcome to bring things like drafting
squares and other drawing pencils if you have them.
- Drawing Paper pad, 18 x 24 is preferred (14 x 17 minimum) $ 10.99
- Roll of tracing paper 18 inch wide $ 9.99
- Kneaded rubber 'charcoal' erasers $ 1.69
- White Vinyl 'graphite pencil' erasers $ 1.69
- 2 - HB graphite drawing pencils $ 2.99

- Painters need canvas board or canvas min. 18x24
- Acrylic paints in primary colors (red, Yellow, Blue)

Optional
Materials
Needed for class and some will be available at workshop...
- 3/4 inch masking tape
- Inexpensive plastic ruler or other straight edge
- flat head (cheap) thumbtacks
The Cookie Rule
If
your cell phone, laptop, or other electronic wonder
box beeps, blinks or plays the Star-Spangled Banner
during the workshop, you are asked to restore your honor
with the class by bringing cookies for everyone at the
next workshop.
